Plans and Drawings

We machine or fabricate items to your specifications.  In many cases drawings or a sample item are supplied by the customer.   From this we can proceed effectively and manufacture the item accordingly.  

It is always preferred, but not essential, that our customer gives us a detailed drawing showing:

• Description of the item.
• Dimensions on all relevant angles.
• Material - Grade, Type and Quality of material to be used.
• Tolerances - Acceptable surface finish and relevant tolerances for the completed item.
• Date and version number.

We can also work with customers, provide expert advice, design and provide drawings of items.   Engineering is a precise and well defined trade.   Echuca Precision Engineering and our staff have decades of engineering experience.   We can offer good reliable advice helping customers determine the correct material and tolerances to apply to a job.   

Two points above, Material and Tolerances, will affect the cost of overall job.   eg.  Generally better quality materials cost more and the higher tolerances required, take more time and care to machine.

In cases where a drawing is provided we will quote/manufacture the item to the specifications provided.

We manufacture many items, such as machining a new axle for a rusty old lawn mower to machining a new drive shaft for a million dollar machine.  We often manufacture items for customers without drawings being provided.   In cases when specifications are absent we assume the customer, given our experience, is leaving the choice of material, dimensions and tolerances to Echuca Precision Engineering.
